In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, 泰德 has crea泰德 a program called 泰德x. 泰德x is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a 泰德-like experience.
Our event is called 泰德xUoPacific, where x=independently organized 泰德 event. At our event, 泰德Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The 泰德 Conference provides general guidance for the 泰德x program, but individual 泰德x events, including ours, are self-organized. This independent 泰德x event is opera泰德 under license from 泰德.

泰德 is a nonprofit organization devo泰德 to Ideas Worth Spreading. 在泰德, the world’s leading thinkers and doers are asked to give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes. Talks are then made available, free, at 泰德.com. 泰德 speakers have included Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Benoit Mandelbrot, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Isabel Allende and former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Two major 泰德 events are held each year: The 泰德 Conference takes place every spring in Long Beach, California (along with a parallel conference, 泰德Active, in Palm Springs), and 泰德Global is held each summer in Edinburgh, Scotland.
泰德’s media initiatives include 泰德.com, where new 泰德Talks are pos泰德 daily; the new 泰德 Conversations, enabling broad conversations among 泰德 fans; and the Open Translation Project, which provides subtitles and interactive transcripts as well as the ability for any 泰德Talk to be transla泰德 by volunteers worldwide.
泰德 has established the annual 泰德 Prize, where exceptional individuals with a wish to change the world are given the opportunity to put their wishes into action; 泰德x, which offers individuals or groups a way to host local, self-organized events around the world; and the 泰德 Fellows program, helping world-changing innovators from around the globe to become part of the 泰德 community and, with its help, amplify the impact of their remarkable projects and activities.
